St John Singers
Ian is proud to have been Musical Director of the St John Singers succeeding John Powell the choir's founder and Conductor Emeritus. The St John Singers are a mixed choir of some fifty voices with members coming from Salisbury and the surrounding area. The choir has a varied repertoire covering sacred and secular music from the Tudor period to the present day. They rehearse weekly on Mondays during 'term time' and perform concerts and other events some four or five times a year in Salisbury and further afield including visits aboard. Their concerts have supported nearly two hundred different charities.
